Jessica Afeku, a first generation Ghanaian American and an Atlanta native who has a deep appreciation for African cultural influences and a passion for southern charm.
Jessica is natural born poet has transformed her love for language and literature into a career in story telling, marketing and sales. Delivering sales pitches as early 2004 demonstrating at a young age the value proposition of products, services, and ideas. Her earliest pitch was “Reasons to buy me a cell phone” which included a full PowerPoint presentation. Although she didn’t get that phone at the time, she learned the art of value selling i.e. “value is in the eye of the buyer”.
Jessica formulized her interests in by pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration in Banking and Finance from the Ivy of the South - The University of Georgia. As a University of Georgia alumna, Jessica has turned her childhood passion into an accomplished career.
With over a decade of experience Jessica has continued to make her mark at Admired Companies like Gartner, Fortune 500 companies like IBM, and most recently Microsoft, the 4th most recognized Brand globally.
Even as the Microsoftie leading Global Events Marketing for M365 Security, Jessica finds the time to pursue entrepreneurial passions outside of the workplace! Through her personal brand “Jess The Profesh”, Jessica offers a wide variety of services including Career & Resume Coaching, Virtual Bartending Events, and even Makeup Artistry & Wardrobe Styling across the United States
Jessica is a leader in Diversity and Inclusion both in and outside the workplace. You will often find her participating or hosting in events to uplift communities of color, coaching the youth (including high school students, college hopefuls, or early in career colleagues), and/or offering her services for a good cause.
Jessica loves to travel and has been to five continents and dozens of countries! From enjoying local cuisines to learning about cultural highlights, Jessica is always happy to try something new!
