Security Product Marketing Manager - Global Events Lead

As the “Security Product Marketing Manager - Global Events Lead” at Microsoft, I look forward to impacting billions of customers worldwide every year. In this role, I design presence, content, & storytelling strategy, manage logistical planning, and participate in the “day of” execution & customer engagement of events around the globe. This role includes three critical segments of expertise to drive an impact that reflects Microsoft’s commitment to empowering customers on a global scale.

 

Experiential Marketing

My marketing approach goes well beyond the age-old flyer or classic banner ad (though I do those too); Experiential Marketing outlines designing of innovative experiences for customers to engage directly with products, services, and “what could be”. Projects have included:

  • Developing customer relationships globally through organizing “Meet the Team” socials featuring Microsoft Executive sponsors to engage with Regional partners, customers, and leaders.

The landscape of customer scenarios is vast and ever-expanding. As we innovate our products and services to stay on the cutting edge, it is critical to maintain communications with customers to educate on our offerings; my work here includes crafting this voice and the avenues to ensure it is heard. Examples include:

  • Curating unique global 1st party and 3rd party event presence including building presentation strategy/team, coordinating logistics, and organizing complementary AMAs (or similar).

  • Designing & executing social media campaigns informing of our latest innovations and engaging customers; encouraging Q&A and participation.

Sales Enablement

A decade of experience, and a lesson learned in my first job rings true to this day - “Marketing is only successful when it enables Sales to have the opportunity to close the deal”. This lesson is why maintaining a healthy strategy for Sales Enablement is a cornerstone to my work. This includes:
